A relatively balanced look, from a credible outlet, on an important subject dominating the news of late. The Author does a fairly good job of keeping things even-handed. However, one can on close reading intimate a certain bias toward a particular point of view. Broad based quoting and commentary which provide much context and that convey an adequate amount of information. A dry read lacking any sort of verve makes it a bit of a slog. Worthwhile if you have the time, not especially so if you don't.

While somewhat left-biased, this article is still a credible source of factual information on Trump's goal for the return of a functioning economy sooner than health officials would recommend.

This article presents facts about the administration's position, concerns from health experts, and views of both parties without adding opinions as to which is the right approach. There is also no discussion about the history of how the current situation developed. This allows for a balanced assessment of facts by the reader.

Presents the current arguments in favor of allowing people to return to work earlier than pandemic doctors may advise due to the overwhelming economic damage being caused. Would have been better if article had also presented the counterpoint, that ending shutdowns before virus has been contained runs the risk of severely aggravating & prolonging the health risks as carriers spread the virus even faster.

Balanced coverage of the major issues from both sides. There were relevant quotes, and sufficient details provided to the reader. The issue is complex, and this coverage was diplomatic about not taking sides.

Very well written article stating all the facts very clearly. I saw the footage on the news so I know the information is accurate as to what Trump said.

This is a very good and balanced piece that weighs the health vs. economic impact of shelter-in-place laws nationwide. It provides quotes and perspectives from both sides of the issue, highlighting public health and economic experts. I believe this is the most important debate of the moment and one not enough people are having publicly, perhaps because it sounds insensitive to those affected by the illness. This article highlights a truth worth exploring, that there would be fewer deaths if everyone stayed locked in their homes, but that death and horrible circumstance can also befall all of us if we crash the economy. It's the health officials' focus to prevent deaths. It's the economists' focus to prevent economic disaster. There needs to be a compromise because both groups are right to be concerned.
