Horror stories like those described in this article merely underscore what should be obvious by now - anyone with an ounce of decency, if they haven’t already, should drop Facebook like the steaming pile of junk which it is. Facebook serves nobody, and is completely unnecessary. More than any other social media platform, it feeds on the desperation and addiction of the lonely, and the twisted. It is evil, and should be disbanded immediately. In lieu of that, citizens one by one should vow to distance themselves from that nefarious engine of societal and personal degradation and decay. Any perceived positive aspects of FB, such as keeping in touch with friends, can easily be replicated in a non-evil way via other means.

This is a fantastic, investigative look into content moderation at Facebook. Author Casey Newton is great at covering this beat and the article itself includes some of the video interviews as well as an accompanying podcast. This is a complete and incredibly crafted report that all social media consumers should be aware of.
