Great Context
August 11, 2019
Parses an internet subculture primarily using screenshots(understandably as threads are often deleted after related shootings) and historical context.

Investigative
August 16, 2019
The author does a good investigative job and provides a detailed context between the recent mass shootings, the 8chan boards and the concept of gamification referred to these terroristic acts. Even though the author seems to have researched the topic for a long time, some of his statements sound too bold and don't provide enough evidence. Multiple time he connects dots and states that things *clearly* connect in a certain way, however the clarity seems to reside solely in his mind after months of research. While I completely side with the author, and I am grateful for the astounding amount of research done on the topic, a clearer and less biased writing style would have given the article even more strength and power than it already has.
