This is pretty well-sourced with lots of little tips on proper etiquette when traveling in Japan. I hope to someday be fortunate enough to have to put the advice in this piece to practice. For as quick a read as this is, it actually paints a solid picture of the key differences in Japanese culture and areas (like taxis and spas) that unknowing tourists could bump into.
