This piece is another in a longstanding and popular trend to blame Facebook for the poor speech of people online. I'm glad that people are tracking these occurrences and holding Facebook accountable, but at a certain point, when most of the world's communication travels through Facebook's pipes, I'm not sure we want to overly encourage Facebook to police speech on our behalves. All in all, I felt like this was another example of journalists taking a cheap shot at Facebook for other peoples' words online.
