I'm very pro Second Amendment but I cannot fault the statistics presented here. I do take issue with the term Assault Rifle this is a descriptor that has no basis in reality and is used to inflame instead of inform. Farther down the piece the author uses the correct term "semi-automatic."

This is a well sourced article that properly explains it's sourcing and methodology. It is brief, but quickly paints a picture of the role assault riffles play in the deadliest mass shootings since 1999.
