Being an interview, the article is for definition an "opinion piece", but treating a very delicate topic that literally goes against all the most current theories on balanced and healthy nutrition, it's lacking of reliable sources that talk about how a ‘Breatharian’ diet is even possible. Treating such a delicate subject basing the entire article on a single interview, makes this story as reliable as a fictional tale.

It is truly incredible the power that the placebo effect can have on someone. Very interesting story, but this is not important for public knowledge, nor is it news. The author directly quoted the sources (that couple) plenty times, but did not bring in other sources and analyze it in a larger context, and as such the issue is left hanging without any real impact. Another missed opportunity to show how this issue may affect individuals or society as a whole. This article gets a "Religious Bias" rating because it is trying to advance a belief system and does not critically look at other perspectives of the issue at hand.

The story is lacking in depth. There are many examples, from different cultures, of people eating and drinking much less of what is recommended, people that have the capability of controlling the heart beat and the breathing. This story could be trusted, with a big reserve. I would have liked some medical reference, at least an interview with the pediatrician that followed her pregnancies, or more info about their beliefs, the way the story is presented can be interpreted that you just go thru the “21 Day Breatharian Process” and you are good to go. Hard to believe, but as I said, there are people able to do that, so the author didn't offer more info and did not follow up their claims.

Perhaps a mistake only but the author, Lauren Windle, forgot to include ending quotes after many of these couple's responses. The woman's voice in the video also doesnt seem to completely match her mouth. Provided that this article also doesnt supply links to support this claim, I believe this story is fake.

This article allows the people in it to make some extraordinary claims that the author has clearly spent no time fact-checking or investigating. It feels like a fake or sensationalized story to grab eye-balls, and I wonder if the people in the pictures and their statements are even true at all.
