Luis J. Valentín Ortiz

Estudió economía en Pennsylvania State University. Comenzó su experiencia periodística en el semanario Caribbean Business donde laboró por siete años. Allí fungió como corrector y editor mientras cursaba sus estudios en derecho en la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Tras obtener su juris doctor en el 2014, comenzó a cubrir temas relacionados al manejo fiscal del gobierno de Puerto Rico, incluyendo la crisis de la deuda pública de la Isla. Por su cobertura del tema ganó en el 2016 el premio “Laura Rivera al Periodista Joven del Año” que otorga la Asociación de Periodistas de Puerto Rico. En el 2018 comenzó a trabajar para el CPI, donde continúa su cobertura especializada de la deuda de Puerto Rico, la ley federal PROMESA, la junta de control fiscal y el proceso de quiebra que enfrenta la Isla.Source
