The Credder Rating
Credder allows news consumers and verified journalists to review online articles. A reviewer states if they trust or contest an article, and why. The combined reviews to create an article’s trust rating. The combined articles create an author and outlet’s overall trust rating.
There are two kinds of ratings, the Credder Rating and the User Rating. The Credder Rating is the percentage of verified journalists who have given an article a positive review. The User Rating is the percentage of users who have given the article a positive review. Article ratings are then used to create an overall rating for every author and outlet.
There are 3 different rating icons. Golden Cheddar is used for articles, authors, and outlets with a rating of 75% or higher. Swiss Cheese is used for articles, authors, and outlets with a rating between 26%-74%. Splatted Cheese is used for articles, authors, and outlets with a rating of 25% or lower.
